The Welcome Week Lecture for the 2018/2019 academic year will take place on Thursday, 13 September, at 11:00. The lecture will take place at Lecture Theatre B, at David Hume Tower (DHT). We look forward to meeting you there!
Dear exchange students, your LawPALS sessions are back! Our Student Leaders Peter and Jessica will be with you for the first five weeks of your semester and answer any questions that you may have about study, university life and Edinburgh in general!
Sessions will take place on every Tuesday 13:00-14:00 at G.05, 50 George Square. Note that the only exception will be the second session, which will be on 25th Thursday instead of Tuesday 23rd in the same room. You may find the programme outline here and if you have any inquiries, feel free to contact the LawPALS coordinator, Xiaoou, via LawPALS@ed.ac.uk.
Welcome to Edinburgh Law School!
The LawPALS Welcome Lecture 2017 will take place on 14th September at 11am in David Hume Tower Lecture Theatre C .
You will meet with your LawPALS leaders and group members, with whom you will have a campus tour after the lecture!
Dear first years and newly arriving exchange students,
You have now been allocated into one of the LawPALS groups. Find out who else is in your group, where your sessions will take place, also who are your student leaders.
Also, check out the profiles of your student leaders and do not hesitate to chat to them if you spot them around campus! They will also send you an email with further information about your sessions – feel free to ask them if you have any questions about your studies.
If for some reason you cannot find your name on any of the lists but you are currently enrolled in LLB programme at Edinburgh Law School, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org (with your matriculation number) and we will put you into one of the groups.
Dear First years,
your LawPALS groups will be announced during the week commencing 14 September 2015. You will then find out who are your student leaders, also when exactly are you going to meet with your group and where.
Dear First Year students,
you have now all been enrolled into a LawPALS programme, and allocated to a particular group.
Click here to find out your session times, also who are your student leaders.
We hope you enjoy your sessions, and we are also looking forward to meeting you all in person.
Dear First years,
here’s what you need to mark in your diaries for your freshers’ week:
we are running our Introductory LawPALS Lecture at 11am, 17 September (Thursday) at Appleton Tower LT 4.
It will be followed by a quick tour around campus, done in your small LawPALS groups, and with your Student Leaders sharing the most important tips of accessing tutorial rooms, libraries, etc.
Looking forward to meeting you all on Thursday.
Dear First Year LLB students!
We have now uploaded the schedule of LawPALS sessions for the upcoming academic year.
You can have a look at it here.
What’s so new and different about it?
Well, for the first time we are intending to hold a separate session on exams in late November – to try and create space for some last minute advice, and to hopefully ease the stress of that first ever exam revision.
Also, there is a newly adapted schedule designed especially for those doing a Graduate LLB degree – we made it shorter and hopefully better adjusted to your needs (many thanks to all those who provided their feedback last year, and to our Grad LLB student leaders, Mikey and Chris, for putting it together!).
Dear Student Leaders,
this is just a brief reminder that the training course for both, new and returning student leaders, will be taking place 4-5 September 2014. It will last the full day on Thursday, and we should finish around 3pm on Friday. The programme will be sent out to you via email.
Looking forward to seeing you all there.
Regards, Gigi and Lindsay
