LawPALS Student Leaders 2017/18
About the role:
The purpose of the LawPALS programme is to provide first year students with the opportunity to join a peer assisted learning group and support their transition into Edinburgh Law School. These are paid positions remunerated in the form of a LawPALS Student Bursary, currently around £300. Further details of the payment will be communicated to successful candidates.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following skills and experience:
- Currently enrolled in second or third year of their LLB (for 4-year LLB programme), or in the first year of their Grad LLB (for Graduate LLB programme).
- Good planning, team-working and communication skills.
- Have a positive attitude and flexible approach.
- Experience of working within a peer-based programme (for example buddying, mentoring, coaching) is an advantage in this role (desirable but not essential).
